Cedar decking

Dad donated old cedar deck boards from their back deck since he recently rebuilt his deck using that simulated plastic board stuff. Yesterday we finished screwing them all down and trimming off the excess. The platform feels very sturdy, it’s amazing to think it’s resting on 8 small points of contact on those steel rods.

The next step is now to think about the main cabin portion of the build and figure out how to work with the trees protruding through the corners of our nice new platform.
