Plating the form in platform

Beams resting atop the steel hyperbolts

We managed to set the beams on end and then give a big power deadlift and chuck them up atop the steel rods.

The platform base begins to take shape

Using (mostly scrap) 2x6 we built a frame for the platform, taking care to provide space around the tree so it has space to grow.

Framing around the tree trunks

Retaining cross-sections for the main supporting beams

We took pieces of unused steel from an old combine harvester and a 1x6 and used them to maintain the distance between the two beams as they straddle the trees. The goal is to minimize rubbing on the tree bark and allow room for the tree to grow.
