Scouting

During a recent trip to Africa we stayed at a “treehouse” lodge and it reminded me of all the treehouses I built in my teens. I’m pretty sure I built at least 7 tree houses in the woods around my house over a handful of summers. Although all of them have since fallen to the ground, I’ll always remember my tree houses and how much I enjoyed building them.

After our return, I kept thinking about tree houses, and now that my Iowa home is at the family farm, I realized I had most of the resources available to make it happen!

So now I’ve begun scouting trees in the nearby forest down by the river.
